MapYourBiz – Terms & Conditions

1. Service Scope

MapYourBiz agrees to provide optimization services for the Client’s Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) as outlined in the selected package. This includes coordination of and/or updating business information, uploading photos, and implementing best practices for local search visibility. Optional services may include creating and updating additional social media profiles or detailed instruction on creation and updating of social media profiles.

2. No Guarantees of Results (SEO Disclaimer)

While MapYourBiz employs proven strategies to improve your local search ranking, we cannot guarantee specific results, such as a #1 ranking on Google, a specific increase in sales, or a set number of new reviews. Search algorithms (specifically Google’s) change frequently and are outside of our control. We promise to execute our work to high professional standards, but we do not control the final search engine placement.

3. Third-Party Platform Dependency

Our services rely on third-party platforms, primarily Google. MapYourBiz is not affiliated with Google. We are not responsible for changes to Google’s policies, features, or interface that may affect your listing. Furthermore, we are not liable if Google suspends, removes, or penalizes your listing due to their internal policy changes or algorithmic updates.

4. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the success of this project, the Client agrees to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information regarding business location, hours, and services.
• Provide necessary verification codes (mailed or texted by Google) in a timely manner.
• Confirm they are the authorized representative of the business.
  MapYourBiz is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect data provided by the Client.

5. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, the Client owns all rights to the specific copy and descriptions created for their profile. The Client grants MapYourBiz a non-exclusive license to use the work created (e.g., before/after screenshots) for MapYourBiz’s portfolio and marketing materials.

6. Payment & Refunds

For one-time work, 50% is due upfront and 50% upon completion. For monthly services, terms are Net 30. MapYourBiz reserves the right to charge late fees of up to 5% per month for late payments. Due to the nature of digital services and the labor involved, all fees are non-refundable once work has commenced, regardless of the search engine results achieved.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MapYourBiz’s liability for any claim arising out of these services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client to MapYourBiz for the specific project in question.
